Kiersten & David, seriously it was so much fun chatting with you just now! I have to thank Julia, because from everything she shared about you, I felt like I already knew you two for ages! I truly believe that our personalities will mesh so well together in order to create the most beautiful photographs. I am just so excited to start this journey together! Your laid back, go with the flow, personalities are truly what is going to make this destination wedding so special. I promise to keep you on a timeline on the day of the wedding so that we don't lose the light, but on the surrounding days, I am just so excited to capture those candid movements of you hugging your guests as they arrive, drinks by the pool with your wedding party, sunset portraits of your parents, gorgeous portraits of the two of you on the beach (with sunscreen), the list goes on!
I am also so excited that you are in New Orleans! I always strive to build relationships with my clients prior to their wedding day in order to best capture them as their authentic selves, but we truly can do that with ease! I already told Will that I can't wait for him to meet you, David and all of us go grab drinks. Since Will will be your point man, portrait hype man, drink pourer, being friends prior to your wedding celebration will just ensure the coolest photographs! Also, David, I am SO excited to hear about the photographs. you have in mind!
I know we spoke about this during the Zoom call but I wanted to reiterate:
Know when hiring Cheryl Cole Photography, you are hiring the whole package. My partner and I work harmoniously in order to capture the smoothest of wedding days and create a cohesive gallery. With over countless weddings under our belt together, know that when you hire us, you are actually hiring two professional photographers! I always tell my clients,
“We are the first ones to arrive on the wedding day, and the last to leave the dance floor at night.”
I live and breathe weddings so I am here for you as a wealth of knowledge every step of the way. Upon booking, I want to be your point person with all things wedding: mood boards, venue scouting, colors, creating a timeline of events for the day, coordinating with other vendors, interpersonal relationships amongst the wedding party (lol), in order to best serve you. In your case especially, Will and I will be arriving a minimum of a day early prior to the welcome party in order to location scout, do detail photography, photograph scenery & study the light. You will not have to worry about us arriving late, flight delays, or losing camera equipment. For destination weddings, we spend more in order to have extra carry-on luggage so that our camera equipment never leaves our sides, We take all of these precautions in order to best serve you to relieve any stressors you may have about your photographers traveling.
My partner, Will, has even become the unofficial master of ceremony rehearsals. If you need to know how to time walking down an aisle, he is your man. I am very selective with the number of weddings we photograph each year in order to offer this, and with my past couples, it has made all the difference! Once the wedding weekend has arrived, there are no surprises, miscommunications and my couples can just soak in the joy of getting married.

Q: What sets you apart from other photographers?
A: I have years of photography under my belt. Prior to launching my company, I spent years second shooting for brilliant photographers all over the country in order to learn from the best. I only shoot top of the line equipment (as well as my second shooter, who is a professional in his own right) and am comfortable in any and all lighting situations.
On top of that, you get full access to me! I have a very hands on approach to each of my clients. I am your ultimate hype woman, who genuinely loves wedding photography which means, I live, sleep and breathe wedding photography, so even though I am "just" the photographer, I can help you with any questions you may have about planning your wedding or styling your wedding. This is especially ideal for those who may not be familiar with New Orleans or who are overwhelmed with planning a destination wedding.
Q: Will we get the print release to our photos after our wedding?
A: Yes! Upon receiving your images, you will also get a full print release.
Q: How many photographers will be there at our wedding?
A: My partner, Will & I, will be the two exclusive photographers at the wedding. A third shooter can be included upon request/cost.
Q: Will my photos be posted publicly on your site or social media?
A: I respect the privacy of each of my clients. I will ask each of them if it is okay to blog or post or submit their shoot to a publication and have them sign a waver. It does not bother me at all if they would prefer to keep their images private.
Q: Will you Photoshop my images to hide any unwanted spots, wrinkles, etc?
A: This is my favorite. I manually edit each and every one of your images in a way that will make you look your best, but no one will ever be able to tell you were photoshopped. During one of our first meetings, I ask "What are you self-conscious of?" I take that information and cater your posing and editing to that so you feel your most beautiful
Q: Do you have a list of preferred vendors to use?
A: Depending on the city we are working in, yes I have a list of preferred vendors, but I love making connections and working with new people! But if you need recommendations, I am here to help! Also I am able to make a list of questions for you to ask other vendors.
Q: Do I have to order prints through you?
A: You do not have to, but I highly recommend using professional print shops to print your photographs. This ensures the highest quality product. I offer after the wedding, a discount for going through me with my chosen vendors to help keep the price down.
Q: What equipment do you use?
A: Exclusively Canon. Ask this question to every photographer you look into hiring. My Second Shooter and I both shoot Canon 5D Mark IV with the newest Red Ring glass on both prime and zoom lenses (zoom only 70-200). This insures the highest quality images coming from my equipment. *We are purchasing new equipment in the next 5 months to provide an even higher quality product to our clients. For your wedding in particular we will also be shooting our Mavic drone and underwater camera equipment.
Q: What do your destination weddings entail?
A: Destination weddings are all inclusive photography coverage, meaning that my partner and I are at your disposal for anything and all things photography. Are the groomsmen having a small bachelor party during the trip? Will will be photographing it while I do a girls night photoshoot with the bridesmaids. Are there family members who want to have sunset portraits done? I am your girl. Are we renting a boat for an excursion? I am hopping on a jetski in order to get the best angles of photography when you jump from the boat into the ocean.
Q: How do we reserve our wedding date?
A: A 30% nonrefundable deposit & signed contract is required in order to get your wedding on the calendar and hold the date. 1/3 is due at the half way point and the remainder of your balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding. We then immediately set up a coffee date to start planning your celebration!
